What is a photo marathon?
A photo marathon is a photo competition in which the participants have to take a given amount of photographs within a given time span. The subjects of these photos depend on the subjects, that the participants receive on that day.
In Cologne you take 8 photos within six hours.
When does the photo marathon take place?
The next photo marathon takes place on 5th of septembre, 2015.
Registration
The filing period starts on 1st of june and ends on friday, 21st of August 2015.
How much is it?
The attendance fee is € 10,-
Do I need to take any special equipment?
No. You just need a digital camera to take photos, an empty memory card and a charged battery. You will also receive a list with optional equipment before the event takes place.

What kind of camera can I use?
You can use any kind of camera you like. It sould use one of the following memory card types: SD, CF, xD or MS.

Everybody can participate. Persons under the age of 18 have to bring a signed
What kind of format do I need to take into consideration?
Please take pictures only in landscape!
Am I allowed to retouch the taken pictures?
You must not retouch your pictures. Please use only the tools and funtions that are programmed in your camera.
What do I have to bring?
For participating, you need a digital camera as well as charged batteries and an empty memory card.

Are memory cards provided?
Unfortunately we cannot provide memory cards, please bring them on your own.

How do I registrate?

Attendance fee
Please transfer the fees (€ 10,- p.P.) within 10 days after your registration. Therewith you are binding registrated and your participation is ensured.
What do I do, if I'm already registrated, but cannot participate?
If you cannot participate, please send us an e-mail as soon as possible, so other participants from our waiting list can succeed.

How long does the event take?
All in all you have six hours to take your eight photos.
What happens at the half-time meeting?
After arriving at the meeting point you get the second part of the subjects for the day.
Ist there a obligatory order of the photos?
Yes! Please take your pictures in the same order of the given subjects.
How much is public transport?
A ticket for one day and one person (all busses and trains included) is € 8,30,- .
What happens to my pictures?
After reading them in our computers, a jury judges all of the photos. Afterwards there will me an exhibition of all pictures. For more information an this exhibition click on the “exhibition”-Button in our menue.
